MUJEN represents a beautiful fusion of ancient tradition and modern appeal, a premium Shochu developed through the passionate collaboration of Bruce, Sondra, and the renowned Sengetsu Distillery in Kumamoto, Japan. Inspired by their first encounter with Shochu, they journeyed to Japan to explore this enigmatic spirit. At Sengetsu, they teamed up with the distillery's fourth-generation CEO, Junko Tsusumi, a pioneering female leader in the traditionally male-dominated Japanese distilling industry, to create MUJEN.
This unique spirit is celebrated for its smooth, silky texture and pure, light profile. It offers a health-conscious option with no sugar, carbs, or gluten and fewer calories than traditional vodkas and tequilas. MUJEN is crafted with meticulous attention to quality, using only the finest ingredients, embodying a less-is-more philosophy with fewer additives and lower alcohol content, leading to fewer hangovers, as commonly noted by Shochu enthusiasts in Japan.
