Amplify Book Coaching is designed to fully support authors of novels and graphic novels as they aim to create, refine, or sell their work by providing services such as developmental editing, project management, and one-on-one coaching for story. Amplify Book Coaching accepts multiple story genres, and meets either short term or long term project requirements by offering a variety of packages for authors and artists looking to create a polished, professional manuscript for readers and agents alike.
Alyssa is a professional book editor with three years of experience in book coaching and mentoring in writing. Alyssa founded Amplify Book Coaching because they believe in amplifying writing skills and in the voices of authors who feel compelled to tell a story that speaks deeply to them.

Description: This is a mini package for the evaluation of the first ten pages of your manuscript, complete with a coaching call and vital feedback/discussion on how to enhance your hooks and characters right away (Great for agent pitches or testing out book coaching!).

Description: Create a fully structured story in an easily manageable outline, ruling out plot holes and inconsistencies before your write your manuscript. Comes complete with a game plan on how to actually write the story once the outline is finished.

Description: A deep dive into a nearly finished or full manuscript, where you will get overall developmental editing for story, in-line editing for writing style and structure, a thorough, detailed editorial letter for what is and isn't working, and 2 coaching calls going over every aspect of your story to make it pitch ready.

Price: $0.07/word or $0.10/word as a rush rate.

Description: Ready to pitch your work? This is a package designed to hone in the perfect pitch, working through your Query Letter, Synopsis, and first 10 pages. Afterwards, you get a spreadsheet of up to 30 agents looking for a story like yours, and guidance on how to pitch to them. Pitch support if rejections occur is also included up to 10 rejections.

Description: Feel like you need more flexibility with long term coaching or that a package doesn't fit your needs? Then this is the package for you! Ongoing coaching is flexible and designed to meet your needs as a writer over the course of editing and refining your work.

Alyssa has been writing books since 7th grade, where they filled the whole of a small notebook with a complicated plot that engaged teachers and classmates alike. They loved creating something so important, and bringing others into the same world by sharing it.
Becoming a Book Coach has led them to approach their own writing process in a completely different way, one that has revolutionized their time and energy towards writing and made the process so much easier than what they had learned in college.
Alyssa is now in the process of planning five novels and writing two. They hold a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, History, Classical Fencing, and Literature. Alyssa is also a member of the LGBTQ+ Editors Association and a Tier 2 certified coach with Author Accelerator.
